I have been a Sweat Lodge leader for 9 years and have held four Sweat Lodge Ceremonies each year, except for the two (yes, only two) that were rained out.  I provide all attendees with a suggested preparation schedule one month prior to the Lodge where I suggest dietary changes that I make during the days leading up to the ceremony. The Lodge itself is located on my property and the public portion of the day's events begins at 10:00 am.  When attendees arrive, the Lodge is covered, the area has been prepared through prayer, herbs, and ceremony and the fire is already heating the rocks.  There are three sessions inside the Lodge, each having a specific and special purpose in our lives.  After the summer and fall Sweat Lodge Ceremonies, we have a salt-water pool on our property that has special Shamanic and Reiki symbols carved under the pool itself, which attendees are welcome to experience for themselves.   Talk about baptism! Space is limited, and registration is required.
